Compositions by film score composer Fardin Khalatbari, 54, are to be performed on August 23-24 at Roudaki Hall in Tehran.

Rasa Chamber Orchestra, conducted by composer and pianist Behnam Abolqasem, will perform a selection of Khalatbari’s new compositions, Honaronline reported.

Titled “One Thousand and One Nights,” the concert will present film score compositions including “A Butterfly in the Wind”, “Bench”, “My Sky”, “Chocolate”, “Gold Tooth” and “The Postman Doesn’t Knock Thrice.”

Traditional singer Pourya Akhavass will collaborate with the 25-member orchestra in the vocal pieces. Violin solos are to be performed by virtuoso Pedram Faryousefi. The concertmaster is Meysam Torkian.

A special feature of the event will be is a series of compositions based on some of the last poems written by the late lyricist Afshin Yadollahi (1969-2017).

Tickets to the concerts are available at Roudaki Hall is located on Shahryar Blvd., Hafez Street, south of Enqelab Avenue.
