Iran Painters Association opened the 9th edition of its “Research Expo” series at Iranian Artists Forum in Tehran on Friday.
Research expos of the association are events hosted by the IAF to showcase works of association members.
The exhibitions are held to provide info on the activities of members and their contributions to the association’s collective projects. With Research Expos, “we evaluate the ideas and potentials of the members, comparing them together. We can thus monitor the strengths and weaknesses of the association,” said member of the association’s managing board Babak Etminani.
The first four editions were held between June 2016 and February 2017, and showed paintings by members below 40 years old. The 5th and later editions (including the ongoing event) displayed works by senior members of the group who are above 40, according to the Persian website of Mehr News Agency.
IAF’s halls, namely Momayez, Mirmiran, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter are hosting the present event until August 28. Works by 32 painters are on view. IAF is located inside Artists Park on Iranshahr Street.
