Photography in Caspian Paddy Fields

A photography tour of farms and paddy fields in Mazandaran Province is slated for August 16-17. The Caspian region tour is organized by Chiilik Photography Institute. Participants will be picked up on Wednesday night, August 15, from the Chiilik premises located near 7 Tir Square in central Tehran, and will visit the places on the itinerary the next morning. It is the 110th photography tour organized by the institute and will be a training course on documentary photography of paddy fields. Harvest is the topic of the workshop. During the two days participants will visit farms and paddy fields in north Iran and interact with those who till the soil.   Friendly talks are planned between the photography sessions in which subject and technique will be discussed. The tour will return on the evening of August 17. Later, a meeting to review the tour-workshop will be held by the institute where photos will be displayed and experiences shared. Topics of Chiilik’s future photography tours include sunflower field, villagers in Kurdistan, sunrise in the desert, summer quarters of Masal County in Gilan, nomads of Kuhrang County in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, summer quarters of Shekardasht in Talesh County of Gilan, autumn photography, fishermen in the Caspian Sea, Subatan highlands in Talesh, Veresk Bridge and Shirgah District in Savadkuh County in Mazandaran, and Qeshm Island near the Strait of Hormuz.
