Espinas Palace Hotel in north Tehran will host pop group Hoorosh Band on September 3.

The concerts will be held at the Royal Hall of the hotel on Street 39, Abedi Blvd., north of Parvaz Park, Sa’adatabad neighborhood.

Published songs of the band, as well as their new works will be performed, music website reported.

Mehdi Darabi is the singer and Masoud Jahani, a well-known pop music arranger, is leader of the group. Their last performance was on June 27 in the southern city of Abadan.

Royal Hall is the latest addition to the concert halls of Tehran after Iranian Conference Hall in west Tehran, which opened last September.

With a 2,000 seating capacity, Royal Hall will open with Qognous Festival organized by music producer Mohammad Hossein Tutunchian.

Hoorosh Band’s performance will be the inaugural concert of the hall and the festival. The second day of the festival features a fusion concert by Chaartaar band, and on September 6 celebrated traditional vocalist Salar Aqili and composer and tar virtuoso Mahyar Alizadeh will be on stage.
