The largest national handicraft event in the country will open August 25 in north Tehran.
The 30th National Handicrafts Exhibition is scheduled to be held on August 25-31 at the Tehran Permanent Fairground, also known as Tehran Expo Center. The previous edition of the expo was for four days but the upcoming event has been extended to one week.
Over 500 stalls covering 8,000 square meters will display handicrafts from 31 provinces, IRNA reported on its Persian website. Last edition of the event had 400 stalls.
This year, Iran Handmade Carpet Exhibition’s 27th edition is incorporated into the handicraft exposition. In the past hand-made carpet weavers, traders and exporters held their popular exhibition separately.
Tehran Permanent Fairground is located off Chamran Expressway and is also accessible via Seoul Avenue.
