The upcoming weekly meeting of Book City Institute will deal with some of the fundamental questions related to humankind.

“Science, Philosophy and Theology: Eternal Questions” is the theme of the meeting planned for August 14, according to the website of Book City Institute.

Three scholars will debate the fundamental concepts of the key subject and try to provide answers to questions.

Story writer, translator and literary researcher Mostafa Mastour, 54, will attend the meeting. Mastour’s stories reflect his spiritual and religious preoccupations. Concepts such as life and death, love, sorrow and faith are recurrent in his works.

Theologian Meysam Tavakoli-Bina, 40, is another participant. He is from the Institute for Research in Philosophy, affiliated to the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.

And from the Office for Studies in Science and Religion, essayist Kazem Sarpoulaki will attend. He is director of the bioscience department of the office.

The meeting will be held at the Cultural Center of Book City Institute on Ahmad Qasir Street, north of Beheshti Avenue, on the corner of Third Alley.
