Toronto International Film Festival unveiled 36 short films that make up the international element of this year’s Short Cuts section on Thursday and in the list is “Umbra” a short film by Iranian director Saeed Jafarian.

This is the film’s second international presence. It was earlier screened in the competition section of the 2018 Cannes Short Film Festival, Mehr News Agency wrote.

Co-written by Jafarian and Fatemeh Abdoli, the 16-minute film follows a young girl roaming through   Tehran looking for her friend. The film is produced by  comedian and showman Rambod Javan and stars Mahsa Alafar and Banipal Shoomoon.

The lineup of Toronto International Film Festival shorts includes 14 world premieres and films from 32 countries in 19 languages.

The 43rd Toronto International Film Festival runs from September 6-16.
