The mystery thriller novel “The Chalk Man” by British author C. J. Tudor has been translated into Persian by Narges Jalalati and published by Tandis Publications, Mehr News Agency reported.

It is about a young boy Eddie and his friends in a small village in Britain who draw little chalk stick figures on street walls as their secret code and only they can understand the message of the codes. But then a mysterious chalk man leads them right to a dismembered body.

In 2016, Eddie is fully grown, and thinks he has put his past behind him. But one day he and his friends each get a letter in their mail, containing a single chalk stick figure and then one of them turns up dead. Now to save his own and his friends’ lives Eddie should figure out what really happened during all the years past.

The crime fiction’s narrative presents a psychological suspense, alternating between the past and present, where every mystery has a satisfying payoff and its twists will shock the reader.

The chalk man is C. J. Tudor’s first novel, published in January 2018 and is nominated for a prestigious Crime Writers Association Ian Fleming Steel Dagger Award.
