Mohit Café in Tehran is to host the second edition of Sound of Sidewalk (in Persian: Sedaye Piadero), a festival of street music groups, organized by Sazoghalam.ir, a music news website.
The second Sound of Sidewalk is slated for August 29-31.
Unlike the first edition and as requested by the participating bands, the upcoming event will be noncompetitive.
Some of the participating bands are making their second appearance in the festival, namely “Rising Stars”, “Parenthesis” and “Azad.” Other participants are the street bands of Pazyryk, Darband, Aksan, Alborz, Gass, Walkman and Delnava, plus pop musician Milad Mostahsan and singer Kasra Chavoshi.
Organizers have invited master musicians and music producers to support young and emerging talent. Sound of Sidewalk is open to all experimental approaches and music genres including pop, rock, traditional, classical, fusion, jazz, blues and country among others. Mohit Café is located at No. 2, Sarmad Alley, North Sohrevardi Street, between Khorramshahr and Hoveyzeh streets.
