The comedy play “Fools,” by American playwright Neil Simon is being performed at Fourth Wall Theater until August 22.

It is an adaptation of Simon’s comedic tale of Leon Steponovich Tolchinsky, a school teacher who takes a new job educating Sophia in a small village in Ukraine in the late 19th century. Leon soon learns that the village is cursed and everyone has become stupid.

The play is directed by Rouzbeh Akhtari and the cast includes Babak Qaderi, Zakiyeh Seyf, Nastaran Ebrahimzadeh, Negin Ebrahimi, Mazyar Mehregan and Amir-Hossein Zamani.

Neil Simon, 91, has written more than 30 plays and over 20 screenplays. Tickets to the show are available at Tiwall. The venue is located at No. 544, between Fariman and Sarparast streets, Taleqani Street.
