A huge sculpture of a rooster created by sculptor and metalsmith Ahmad Roshani was installed last week in east Tehran. The 600kg iron statue called “Rooster,” was placed at the intersection of Esteqlal and Koohestan streets. The 5-meter-tall sculpture, painted in a dusty gold, is a helping sign for those on their way to Bird Garden the entrance gate of which is located on Koohestan Street. Ahmad Roshani, manager of Roshani Sculpting Industries, has made the Rooster with recycled iron. In the past he has had working relations with Tehran Beautification Organization, according to the Persian website of the organization Zibasazi.ir.
