David Mamet’s drama play “Oleanna” is to be staged at Rooberoo Mansion from July 29 to August 12.
The play centers on the relationship between a university teacher and one of his female students who accuses him of sexual abuse. It is directed by Amid Dousti and has Ayda Roshdi and Meysam Kouchak in the cast, Honaronline reported on its Persian website.
The original play was premiered on Broadway in 1992 and later was adapted by Mamet into a film by the same name in 1994, starring William H. Macy and Debra Eisenstadt.
Mamet, 70, is an American playwright, film director, screenwriter and author. He won a Pulitzer Prize and was nominated for the Tony Award for his plays Glengarry Glen Ross (1984) and Speed-the-Plow (1988).
The venue is located at No. 7, Kianpour Dead end, Valiasr Crossroad, Enqelab St.
