Nassehi to Perform Piano Recital From Classical Masters

A classical concert by the prominent piano soloist Fereydoon Nassehi will perform recitals from well known scores composed by masters of classical music including Fredric Chopin and Franz Schubert at Vahdat Hall, Tehran, on August 4.

The piano recitals include Chopin’s Capriccio and three Etudes, Schubert’s Impromptus alongside Prelude in D minor from Russian pianist Sergei Rachmaninoff, La Campanella by Hungarian composer Franz Liszt and Fall is Here by Iranian musician Javad Badizadeh, IRIB reported on its Persian website.

Nassehi, son of celebrated Persian composer and trombone player Hossien Nassehi (1925-1977), is a graduate from the Berlin University of Arts. Now in his 60s, Nassehi has performed with prominent composers and conductors including Nader Mashayekhi and Emil Khachatourian.

Franz Peter Schubert (1797-1828) was an Austrian composer of the late Classical and early Romantic eras. Despite his short life, Schubert left behind a vast oeuvre, including 600 secular vocal works, seven complete symphonies, operas and a large body of piano and chamber music.

Frédéric François Chopin (1810-1849) was a Polish composer and virtuoso pianist of the Romantic era who wrote primarily for solo piano. He enjoyed international acclaim as a leading musician of his era. His poetic genius was based on a professional technique that was unrivaled in his generation.

Vahdat Hall is located at Shahryar Blvd., Hafez St., Enqelab St.
