Niavaran Cultural Center in north Tehran will present four nights of jazz performance on July 28-31.

“Jazz Nights” is organized by the cultural institute SaazBuzz, an independent platform for music.

Musicians from in and outside Iran are invited to the event that includes eight performances in four nights, Fars News Agency reported on its Persian website. Iranconcert.com sells the tickets. Each ticket is valid for two performances.

The first night on July 28 will feature two trios: Carlo Maver from Italy and Sardar Sarmast from Iran. On July 29, a quartet led by Iranian composer and pianist Kiavash Sahebnasaq will perform. Then, the Arshid Azarine trio, a France-based Iranian pianist will come on stage. On the third night, the contemporary jazz band Quartet Diminished from Iran will perform a selection of compositions from its two albums. Later a trio led by French jazz composer and guitarist Nguyen Le will perform.

The final night will feature a different series of performances by Carlo Maver and Nguyen Le. Training workshops will be held on the sidelines of the event.
