Niavaran Cultural Center in Tehran will host a meeting on Persian mathematician, astronomer and poet Omar Khayyam (1048-1131) on Thursday.
Titled “Omar Khayyam Millennium Anniversary,” the session is the first in a series of events planned by the Society for the National Heritage of Iran in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and Institute for Promotion of Contemporary Visual Art
According to Hassan Bolkhari, head of heritage society, the meetings will also be held in Tabriz and Isfahan, Fniavaran.ir wrote.
