Amir-Kabir Publication has released a Persian translation of the historical novel “Waterloo” by French authors Emile Erckmann (1822-1899) and Alexandre Chatrian (1826-1890), IBNA reported on its Persian website.
In Waterloo, the authors elaborate on the psychological and social aspects following Napoleon’s Battle of Waterloo, fought on June 18, 1815, near Waterloo in present-day Belgium, then part of the Netherlands, where Napoleon met his final defeat. Written in 1865, the book also examines the conditions of the battle, the factors contributing to Napoleon’s defeat and the reasons why it happened in the first place.
Printed in 304 pages,the title has been translated into Persian by Reza Karim-Kashi.
