Folk music group Rastak will perform on July 19 at Milad Tower in Tehran.
The venue is the convention center of the iconic tower and the band will perform pieces from its latest album plus some older songs, according to Navayefars.com.
“Spring,” the new album to be featured at the concert, was released in mid-June. Similar to the band’s previous albums, the latest comprises folk songs from local ethnicities.
Rastak will perform seven pieces from Spring along with nostalgic songs usually anticipated by the audience.
“Some of the band’s older songs are normally included in the repertoire, but the new album comprises the major part of the upcoming concert,” Rastak’s Kurdish lead singer Farzad Moradi said.
“We’ve received a positive feedback for our new album. The audience is of the opinion that Spring has a more intimate tone compared to our earlier releases. In this album some of our new band members have sung for the first time. The album has five vocalists and we want to bring all five on stage,” Moradi said.
