An estimated 150 art works will go under the hammer at Behnam Gallery run by the Behnam Daheshpour Charity Organization in Tehran on June 28–29.

The 4th annual auction has been organized to help cancer patients. Works include paintings, sculptures, photography and calligraphy, Honaronline reported on its Persian website.

“There is a wide range of artworks, including realist and modern paintings, calligraphy, photos and paintings on ostrich eggs”, gallery curator Nafiseh Emdadi said. Works of well-known visual artists will be for sale along those of novices and newcomers.  Proceeds from the auction sale will go for treatment of cancer patients. Art works will remain on public view until July 27. Founded in 1995, Behnam Daheshpour Charity is named after a 21-year-old cancer patient who passed away while he was going through the process of establishing a charity organization to support cancer patients.

It provides treatment and support service to needy cancer patients and their families and participates in the National Comprehensive Cancer Control Program.

The venue is located at No. 13, Marmari Alley, Masjedi St., Shahid Jabarian St., Shahid Lavasani St.
