Financial Suffering in the Family

Feature film “Bearer” directed by Bahman Kamyar hit the screens across the country on Wednesday with two other films as new screenings started on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, due Friday, which marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. 
The film begins by showing a woman, Mehri, sitting by the bedside of her husband, Iraj, in a hospital. Iraj has been severely beaten and can neither talk nor move. Confused about the situation, Mehri learns her husband has taken a large amount in loan and is unable to repay. 
She struggles to find a way out of the family quandary and repay the loan while at the same time trying to figure out how Iraj spent all that money.
