Abgineh Museum (museum of glassware and ceramic) houses a unique collection of antique vases, bottles, vessels and statuettes among others.
The historical building once belonged to Ahmad Qavam (1882-1955), a famous politician who was a five-time prime minister of Iran.
Located at No. 59, 30-Tir Street, the mansion is adorned with remarkable mirror works and a central spiral staircase. The building, a fine combination of Iranian and European architecture, is situated in the middle of a sprawling 7,000 square meter garden.
The museum has two floors and five halls. The halls on the first floor display pieces from pre-historic times and the upper floor has artifacts from the Islamic era and more recent times.
