Iranian artists will display their paintings alongside foreign painters at the 1st international painting symposium at Pulchri Gallery in the Hague, the Netherlands, June 16-18.
The art project “Putting Color on the Face of the World” is organized by Mitra Jashni, owner of Mythra Art Gallery and the Pulchri Gallery, Honaronline reported on its Persian website.
Artworks of 20 Iranians will be on show alongside ten other artists from Russia, Afghanistan and the Netherlands.
The first international painting symposium in the Dutch city aims to promote interaction and artistic integration of artists and help introduce Iran’s culture and its new generation of artists.
“Artists will hold workshops and paint at Moof Studio on June 12, and will display their paintings at the 19th Century Pulchri Gallery”, participant artist Samira Alborzkouh said. Her paintings navigate social issues related to acid attacks on women.
Visual artist Morteza Mottaqi along with painters Mani Kumar, Maryam Khoram and Sanaz Ahmadi are among the 30 participating artists.
