Turkish pop singer and songwriter İlyas Yalçıntaş will travel to Iran next month to hold two concerts for his fans in Kish Island.
Organized by Exir Novin Advertising Agency, the concerts are set for July 4 and 5 at Kish City Hall, Honaronline reported on its Persian website.
On May 29, Yalçıntaş wrote on his Twitter account, “I proudly announce that we get permission from Iranian government to make concert in Kish Island. I will be the first Turkish pop singer who is giving a concert in Iran”.
Yalçıntaş is mostly known to Iranian audience for his song “Icimdeki Duman” (The Smoke Inside) from his debut album of namesake title, released in 2016.
He rose to prominence after competing in the X Factor Turkey, a reality television talent show, in 2014. His 2015 single track “İncir” (fig) was a hit and found its way on Turkey’s popular music chart.
