Godfather Café is set to have a single screening of “Holy Motors” a 2012 French-German fantasy drama film written and directed by Leos Carax, on Thursday.
After waking up one morning, a man named The Sleeper finds and opens a secret door in his apartment. Passing through it, he enters a cinema, Tiwall.com wrote.
There he meets an actor named Monsieur Oscar who over the course of a single day travels around Paris in a chauffeur-driven limousine.
“The film is partly about the importance of human role-playing as we make our way through life – how we present ourselves in the world in different moments”, freelance film music and journalist Lynden Barber wrote about the film.
Denis Lavant plays the role of Oscar. Other cast members are Édith Scob, Kylie Minogue, Eva Mendes as well as director Carax.
Holy Motors competed for the Palme d’Or at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.
The café is located at College Intersection on Enqelab Street in central Tehran.
