The representative of the UN in Karbala, Iraq, described the Imam Hussein (AS) Museum in the holy city as one of the top 10 museums in the world.
Ali Kamouna made the remark in a ceremony held on Saturday to honor Ala Ahmed Ziaeddin, director of the museum, IQNA reported.
The ceremony, organized by the UN in cooperation with the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine with the aim of promoting the city, was attended by a number of Iraqi and international personalities.
The museum is managed by the Astan of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine.
