Culture and Identity in Paintings

Vartan House, a conference house in Tehran which mainly focuses on urban architecture, is hosting in its gallery a painting exhibition showcasing works of artist Marzieh Nazemzadeh.

Displaying 11 paintings, the event named “The Phoenix of Iran,” is the first solo exhibit of the artist in Iran.

In her works, Nazemzadeh focuses on the Iranian culture and identity in modern times, ISNA reported on its Persian website.

So far she has held several solo and group exhibits in other countries, including two solos in the Netherlands in 2016 and 2017.

Located at No. 514, western Taleqani Street, Felestin (Palestine) Square, the artworks will remain on show through May 29.
