    Detective and Psychological Story

    Tehran-based Qoqnoos Publication has released a Persian translation of the novel “Surfacing” by Canadian author Margaret Atwood.

    A detective, psychological thriller, the novel tells the story of a talented female artist who goes in search of her missing father on a remote island in northern Quebec, Canada. Setting out with her husband and another young couple, she soon finds herself captivated by the isolated setting and her marriage begins to fall apart as violence and death lurk just beneath the surface, Goodreads wrote. 

    Published in 1972, Surfacing was the second novel the prolific author, poet and essayist.

    According to the Persian website Honaronline.ir, the novel has been rendered into Persian by Nastaran Zahiri in 295 pages.
