    8-Minute ‘Bystander’ For Adelaide Festival

Short animation “Bystander” directed by motion graphics artist Sheyda Kashi, is to be screened at the Adelaide International Women’s Film Festival (June 1-3).

Based in Adelaide, South Australia’s cosmopolitan coastal capital, it is a new film festival that creates a platform for women and girls to tell their stories, shape their narratives and define themselves before they are defined by others.

Bystander is scheduled for screening on June 2, Mehr News Agency reported on its Persian website.

Kashi’s 8-minute animation is about an old man who is watching a cold, fragile world in black and white from behind a window. He does not care about the revolution taking place in his country. Looking back he remembers that when he was young he played an active role in another revolution.

The short film has attended many festivals and won awards including the Best Animation Prize at the 18th ‘Picture This’ Film Festival in Canada.
