Contemporary Persian poet Mohammad Shams Langeroodi, unveiled a music album based on his poems on May 14 at the central branch of Book City in Tehran.
Langeroodi recites his poems in ‘’The Endless Circle’’ with 12 soundtracks, ISNA reported on its Persian website. Famous for the vibrant imageries of his poems, the poet is considered to be one from the last generations of the new wave poetry in Iran, established by Nima Yooshij (1897-1960).
The album is to be launched by Naghmeh-Hezardastan publishing company. ‘’It contains orchestral and acoustic music accompanied by vocalist Sadiq Nouri,’’ composer of the album Mohammad Farmanian said.
Langeroodi , 67, is a contemporary poet, author and university instructor. He has published dozens of poetry books and conducted extensive research on different periods of Persian poetry. One of his research works is “An Analytic History of Modern Persian Poetry” in four volumes.
