A Room With a View

A solo exhibition of intaglio prints by Polish graphic designer and sketch artist Marcin Bialas is underway at Shirin Art Gallery.

The show is titled “A Room With a View”. It opened May 11 and will close on May 23 at the venue located at No. 5, 13th Alley, Sanaee Street, Karim Khan Avenue, according to the website of the gallery.

Curated by print artist Mehdi Darvishi, the exhibit features intaglio prints with urban, social and architectural themes. Intaglio prints are those created with incised metal plates.

“The works were created over the past 10 years. With them, I’ve tried to find my identity in an urban context,” Bialas said.

Born in 1977 in Zawiercie, Poland, Bialas, 41, is mainly interested in graphic arts (intaglio technique) and drawing. Since 2003 he has been participating in meetings and festivals of graphic art in Poland and overseas. He has held several solo exhibitions in Poland, Canada, Romania, Germany, Ireland, Belarus and France.
