Iran’s Alhoda International, Cultural, Artistic & Publishing Institution is participating in the Doha International Book Fair with more than 200 titles this year.

The 25th edition of the book fair kicked off January 7 in the Qatari capital and will run until January 17. Nearly 432 publications from 29 countries are participating in the exhibition, MNA reported.

Alhoda Publications will be showcasing some 210 book titles on various topics including fiction, Iranian studies, works by Imam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in Persian, Arabic and English at the book fair.

For the very first time, a collection of over 12,000 Arabic volumes and more than 2500 foreign books are going on display at the book fair, which, according to its organizers, is “unprecedented” in its extensive range of offerings.

The ‘Guest of Honor’ in this year’s edition is Brazil. Iran had taken the spotlight at the 22nd annual Doha International Book Fair in 2011.

On the sidelines of the fair at the Doha Exhibition Center, the Doha Cultural Festival will also be held.
