Asmar Mousavinia’s Persian rendition of ‘Lands of Glass’ a novel by popular Italian writer, director and performer Alessandro Baricco has been released by Morvarid Publication. 
Written in 1991, the title was awarded the prize Prix Medicis Etranger in 1995. The Prix Médicis is an annual French literary award given to a work of fiction written or translated in the French language, Mehr News Agency reported. 
The first book of fiction by Baricco, the novel is set in the nineteenth century, in an imaginary town called ‘Quinnipak’, and has many characters each resembling a fairy-tale figure.
