Selected cinemas across the country are screening the film ‘Pope’ written and directed by Ehsan Abdipur.
Made five years ago, Abdipur’s second feature film is an episodic film about youth, immigration and social problems in Iran.
Titled Mexico, Italy and England, each episode tells the same story but each time from the point of view of a different member of a family in Bushehr Province, south Iran, Aecinema.ir reported. Some of the events and dialogues of the film center on the selection of the pope in Vatican.
The cast includes Gholamreza Farajzadeh, Toomaj Pourmorad, Hadis Chehreh-Pardaz, Marzieh Bardaknia and Hossein Qofli among others.
