A cultural tour of Sangelaj, one of the older neighborhoods of Tehran, is planned for Thursday by Zhiwaar touring company. This southern part of the capital includes areas dating back to the Qajar era (1786-1925). During a walk around the streets and alleyways, visitors will be briefed on the history of some famed places of the neighborhood. On the itinerary are Saint Georg Church, the paternal house of accomplished nuclear physicist Mahmoud Hesabi (1903-1992), Qoli Pathway as well as Mostowfi Mosque and Pathway.
