Short Trip to Cinema Town

Ghazali Cinema Town, 14 km west of Tehran, is the destination of a short trip planned on Friday by Tiwall, the well-known ticket provider and platform for promoting cultural events.
Affiliated to the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting and covering an area of 10 hectares, the cinema town was established in 1971 with replicas of historical buildings, landmarks and streets.
Tourists will travel back to the 1950s and visit Toopkhaneh Square and the old building of Tehran Municipality. A few meters down the site, they will tour Moniriyeh Square, Lalezar Street and Baharestan Square.
Two sets made for TV series are also on the itinerary: a replica of the city of Nazareth used for the Persian TV series ‘Saint Mary’ (2000), written and directed by Shahryar Bahrani; and an assortment of old neighborhoods built for 'Shahrzad' home network series whose story dates back to the 1950s.
