‘King Lear’ Arriving in Summer

Acclaimed theater director Masoud Delkhah is preparing to bring one of the greatest plays of William Shakespeare on stage at City Theater in Tehran in summer. 
‘King Lear’ is a tragedy depicting the gradual descent into madness of the title character, after he disposes of his kingdom giving bequests to two of his three daughters based on their flattery of him, bringing tragic consequences for all. 
“I will not lead the performance in its original classic form,” Delkhah said, adding that it will be an unconventional modern performance.
