Bamboo Furniture From Paris to Tehran

A collection of modern furniture designed by architect Bijan Shafei is on display at Art Time Gallery. The furniture is made mainly from bamboo. Items on display include tables, chairs, paravents, lights and cabinets, Honaronline reported.The exhibit, titled ‘From Maison & Objet Paris to Tehran Project’ will run until March 9.  About naming the exhibition Shafei explained that the featured works were displayed last year at Maison & Objet Paris, an international trade fair dedicated to lifestyle fashions and trends reserved for professionals at the convention center of Parc des Expositions in Paris.  “We were at Hall 7 of the fair and presented what we are displaying now,” he said.
