Statuesque Paintings on Display

Painter Siavash Talaei is holding an exhibition of his statuesque paintings in O Gallery in Tehran. On display are nine artworks created using acrylic on primed canvas that helps hide the brushstrokes. The use of muted palette also helps the depicted figures look as if they have been carved from stone.  “Many mistake my works for statues,” Honaronline reported Talaei as saying.  The works depict fictional figures.
