Naghmeh-Baran Concert for Quake Victims

Naghmeh-Baran Orchestra, conducted by composer and music instructor Noz’hat Amiri, 57, will perform a concert in Tehran to support the quake-stricken people of Kermanshah Province.
A 7.3-magnitude quake shook the western province of Kermanshah and the regions bordering Iraq last November and cut short the lives of over 500 people, injured thousands and left large numbers homeless, many of whom are still living in temporary shelters.
Amiri is the only female conductor in Iran. The concert is slated for March 6 at Arasbaran Cultural Center. The orchestra performed earlier last November at the same venue to support Kermanshah people, according to Fhnews.ir.
