Iranian-American sister architects, Gisu and Mojgan Hariri, owners of the New York-based Hariri and Hariri Architecture Firm have shared pictures of their new projects on their website.
‘Pardis Hotel’, their new project, will be a 5-star hotel with 336 rooms in Yazd, a tourist city in central Iran.
According to the company’s website, after completion, the hotel will accommodate national and international tourists as well as friends and families of patients who will be coming to Muhammad Rasulullah International Heart Center, the biggest heart surgery hospital in the Middle East adjacent to this hotel.
Pardis Hotel has four internal gardens. An undulating organic roof is designed to cover the entire hotel. This roof floats above the ground creating shaded passageways and outdoor areas to sit and cool, reflect and enjoy the gardens and amenities of the hotel.
Hariri and Hariri Firm is a multi-disciplinary architecture and design company established in 1986 by the Hariri sisters. Today they are celebrated as two of the most accomplished women in architecture and design and are described by critics as one of the most progressive architects.
In 2005, the company won the Award in Architecture at the American Academy of Arts and Letters Awards. In 2010, Architectural Digests included Gisu and Mojgan on its list of the greatest talents in architecture and design.
Alvand Office Tower in Tehran (2016), Cape Cod Beach House in Massachusetts (2015) and Jewels of Zalzburg in Austria are some of the company’s recent projects.
