Kamancheh (spiked fiddle) virtuoso Kayhan Kalhor and Turkish folk musician, composer, singer and baglama (long-necked lute) player Erdal Erzincan will jointly perform on February 23 at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall.

Kalhor, 54, and Erzincan, 47, have held concerts together in Tehran 2012, 2014, and 2016. Their musical cooperation goes back to 2004 when they recorded an album titled ‘The Wind’ that included improvisations based on Iranian and Turkish music, Sazoghalam.ir wrote.

Last November they performed two impromptu concerts - one in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and another in Schiltigheim, France.

Kalhor, is one of Iran’s acclaimed artists and a Grammy winner.
