Abscess Will Compete in Mexico Festival

Social drama film ‘Abscess,’ written and directed by filmmakers Armin Tahmasbi and Ali Bateni, has entered the lineup of Merida Film Festival in Mexico.
Abscess is an experimental film that deals with a young couple whose lives are deeply affected by addiction and drug abuse. Each new day in their troubled life gets darker until they decide to find a way out of their predicament.
The film will enter the competition section of the festival slated for February 8-11 in the city of Merdia, IRNA reported.
Abscess had its world premiere at the Cuzco Underground Cinema Festival last November in Cuzco, southeastern Peru.
Cast of the film includes Ali Ardalan, Sousan Azizollahi, Asef Rasouli, Tina Mousavi, Roya Qanbari, Raouf Rezai, Rasoul Mohammadi, Sepanta Sokouti, Amin Mohseni, Alireza Ahmadi, Saeed Jafari, Majid Ahmadi and Arman Tahmasbi.
