Reflections on Ahmad Mahmoud

Afraz Publication has released ‘Ahmad Mahmoud’ a title dedicated to interviews with distinguished Iranian writers and cineastes about the late novelist Ahmad Mahmoud.

Filmmaker Habib Bavi-Saajed, who previously made a documentary on the life of Ahmad Mahmoud, has compiled the book.

Celebrated writer Mahmoud Dowlat-Abadi, filmmaker Masoud Kimiaei, actor Behzad Farahani and writer and director Kianoush Ayari are some of the famous men whose interviews are published in the book, ISNA reported. Ahmad E’ta (1931-2002), better known by his pen name, Ahmad Mahmoud, was a prominent Iranian novelist. His work ‘The Neighbors’ stands out as one of the most notable novels in contemporary Persian Literature.
