A book by composer, singer, songwriter and poet Mehran Mokhtarpour will be unveiled at the Paris Book Fair, March 16-19.

The book ‘Mes Petits Secrets’ (My Little Secrets) includes two short stories and a collection of his poems.  Mokhtarpour, leader of the five-member alternative rock band of Piclavier, has written it in French, ISNA reported. 

It is published by Candle & Fog publishing house based in Tehran and London. The publisher is to unveil the work, along with ‘Identite’ (Identity), a music album recently brought out by Piclavier. The album is sung in French. Mokhtarpour writes lyrics in French and English. ‘Identite’ is an album in the genre of electronic rock and includes 10 tracks. The music is performed with western and Iranian instruments including tar and kamancheh. 

‘Identite’ is arranged and mixed by composer and arranger Shayan Karimi. Songs of the album criticize the dominance of online social networks in the daily lives of modern people and portrays virtual identities in a surreal way.

Interviews, conversations, meetings, screenings and performances are also on the itinerary of the Paris Book Fair and will be attended by novelists, historians, professors, writers and artists.
