Volume 17 of the Iranian Encyclopedia for Young People will be in local bookshops today.
During the past 24 years, 16 volumes of the encyclopedia, targeting children in the 10-16 age group, have been published by the Children Book Council of Iran, ISNA reported.
It is the first encyclopedia for children in Persian and includes various images based on Iranian culture and a scientific approach. The book is expected to be completed in 26 volumes within the next ten years.
The CBC was established as a non-profit organization in 1962. Its main focus is on children’s literature. It has more than 700 voluntary members.
