A free adaptation of ‘Richard III’, a historical play by William Shakespeare, will go on stage at Iranian Artists Forum on Wednesday.
The play depicts the Machiavellian rise to power and subsequent short reign of King Richard III of England.
Richard of Gloucester is determined to sit on the throne occupied by his brother, Edward IV. He manages to turn Edward against the Duke of Clarence, who is imprisoned in a tower on treason charges.
The play is directed by Elham Sehhat and has Kianoush Javad-Eslami, Ali Amir Khalili, Sadeq Maleki, Pedram Azizi, Qazaleh Jahanbin, Hedyeh Mousavi and Sara Moradi in the cast, Tiwall.com wrote.
The performance will remain on stage until February 21 at the theater located at the southern side of Artists Park on N. Mousavi Street.
