Rhetoric Orchestra, founded and conducted by guitarist and pianist Reza Marivand, 33, will perform classical and romanticist pieces composed by world acclaimed composers at the weekend at Roudaki Concert Hall.
According to Iranconcert, repertoire of the orchestra includes pieces by French composer Camille Saint Saens (1835-1921), Austrian composer and pianist Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791), Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893), German composer and pianist Johannes Brahms (1833-1897), Austrian composer and conductor Gustav Mahler (1860-1911) and German-born French composer and cellist Jacques Offenbach (1819-1880).
Other compositions in the repertoire include works by Italian composer Gioachino Rossini (1792-1868), Polish composer and pianist Frederic Chopin (1810-1849), Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos (1887-1959), Argentine tango composer and bandoneon player Astor Piazzolla (1921-1992) and American composer Samuel Barber (1910-1981).
Roudaki Hall is located on Shahryar Blvd., Hafez Street, south of Enqelab Avenue.
