Painters Will Display Works at IAF

Association of Iranian Painters in Tehran is to hold the 7th edition of its ‘Research Expo’ series on February 2-11 at the Iranian Artists Forum.
The association’s research expos are periodical events hosted by the IAF to show works of its members. The first four were held between June 2016 and February 2017, and introduced paintings by members below 40 years old.
Like the 5th and 6th editions, the upcoming event will host works by painters above 40 (among the association members). Jalal Motevalli, 59, is one of the 40 participating painters. “We decided to present the paintings we created in the past two years,” he told Mehr News Agency.
About his recent works he said, “I’m participating with five landscape paintings. I also have some paintings on rock, which I will unveil at a solo exhibit later.”
Motevalli has recently turned his painting atelier into an art gallery and named it Pol (bridge). “I will show my rock paintings at my own art gallery in late winter.”
