Graphic artist, painter and curator Zartosht Rahimi, 29, will present his paintings at a solo exhibition in Saless Art Gallery in Tehran.

The exhibition will open Friday for 10 days. The gallery is located on Karim Khan Avenue, between Iranshahr and Mahshahr streets.

Featured paintings have been created over the past three years and depict superstition, fantasies and stories of old times in an exaggerated manner, says a statement by the artist sent to the Financial Tribune.

‘One Thousand and One Nights,’ a Middle Eastern folktale collection has been the artist’s main source of inspiration for the exhibit. “Without knowing it, we go from one tale to another, lose characters and aimlessly go along the story,” the statement says.

The paintings show the traces of Rahimi’s experience in graphic design, cartoon, graffiti and mural art.
