The 1st Conference of Asian Cultural Dialogue will open Saturday in Tehran and run through January 15 in Mashhad, capital of Khorasan Razavi Province, and Babolsar in Mazandaran Province.

The meeting is organized under the auspices of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, affiliated to the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mehr News Agency reported.

It is held in cooperation with University of Tehran, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, University of Mazandaran in Babolsar, as well as the inter-governmental organizations – the Asia Cooperation Dialogue and Asian Parliamentary Assembly.

Previous sessions of Asian Cultural Dialogue were held in India, Malaysia and Kazakhstan. The Iran meeting will be attended by 70 cultural and scientific figures from over 20 Asian countries. They will discuss ‘cultural diversity’ and the ‘potential and capacity for interaction’.

Host venues are the Faculty of World Studies at Tehran University, University of Mashhad and University of Mazandaran.
