Pretty Unusual

The social drama ‘Bridge of Sleep’ directed by Oktay Baraheni is on the screen at several cinemas.
It is a free adaptation of ‘Crime and Punishment’ a novel by the Russian author Fyodor Dostoyevsky (1821-1881).
In the film, the leading character Shahab, begins a business deal with a friend to make money for his wedding. However, he encounters major financial problems when the friend steals all his money. Creditors chase Shahab after he fails to repay the high interest loan on the money he had borrowed. Unable to find a legal way out of his misfortune, he does something out of the ordinary, Cinematicket wrote.
Saed Soheili, Houman Seyyedi, Akbar Zanjanpour, Anahita Afshar, Alireza Sanifar and Hesam Shojaei are in the cast.
Kourosh, Megamall, Charsou and Mellat cineplexes as well as Javan and Shokoufeh cinemas are showing the film in Tehran.
